Quarter Horses are the most popular breed in the United States! Great sprinters, the American Quarter Horse is the fastest breed in the distance of a quarter mile.

While Quarter Horses are a fantastic "all-around" breed, they are often used for Western riding and can be seen at rodeos, working on ranches, and performing in the show ring.

The American Quarter Horse Association recognizes: Sorrel, bay, black, brown, buckskin, chestnut, dun, red dun, gray, grullo, palomino, red roan, blue roan, bay roan, perlino and cremello.
